This is the first time that I am posting to this Board, though I have been visiting it, almost daily, for the past two years. I am a neophyte,` as far as Volvos are concerned. By following the Board, I have gained some understanding of these beautiful vehicles. I have always admired the time and effort taken by the experts of this forum, to help others, without any recompense.
I have had a '90 240DL (170K) since 1995. Today, I purchased a '93 940T. Here are the details of the car:
Mileage: 108K
Engine: Appears to be very good (had it thoroughly inspected by an independent Volvo tech). Did not find any problems, except that it needs brake pads and front shocks.
Service History: No records prior to 88K service (PO, a lady in her late fifties, claims all service upto 88K was done at the dealership). All scheduled maintenance completed from 88K onwards.
Features: Kenwood Stereo/CD Player, Keyless Remote locking, 16" Hydra Alloy wheels.
Defects: Manual missing, Drivers seat has a 1" tear and some cracks in the leather, two (1 inch) small dents (paint intact) just above rear bumper.
Test Drive: Drives very well and felt strong.
Price: $4,800
Did I pay too much?. Where can I get a manual?.
Your valuable comments will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Sam
