coolant flush/drain 700

well, it's been about 2-3 years since i've done this, and i'm not sure if the coolant is losing its cooling effectiveness, who knows. but i might as well do this since i have some time.

i checked the FAQ. my cousin also gave me the procedure below which i'm reluctant to follow because it sounds like he wants me to just let the coolant dribble all over the place, which i don't really like doing. is there a non-messy way of doing this or ... what? i'm wondering what technique you fellow bricksters use to do this nice and easily.

thanks!

Hi Ken, don't open the engine block drain plugs, open
the radiator drain plug let all the coolant out. Open
the coolant reservoir cap and run a garden hose
through it. Don't close the radiator drain plug. Put
the vehicle at an angle (nose up), turn the engine and
the heater on. Run the car for 15 minutes and shut it
off. Lever the car and drain all the fluid out. Close
the drain plug and add 1 1/2 gallon coolant( The Green
One!!!), top off with water. Put the vehicle back to
an angle and run the car for 30 minute and turn the
heat on without put the coolant reservoir cap on.
After that, lever the car, turn engine off and top off
the fluid.
