preventive measures for exhaust manifold bolts? 700

so since the bolts are so hard to take out sometimes, and it's even harder to remove one if it breaks, are there any preventive measures you can take to making sure the bolts are easy to remove?

i was thinking about periodically taking them out and putting them back in, but wouldn't that put a lot of wear and tear on the threads?

also, is it better to remove them when the manifold is hot?

thanks!
