CD Changer into 91 940 900 1991

Hi all,

I would like to add a CD changer to my 940 sedan while retaining the factory head unit. I have looked at the FAQ about this and have determined the model of Alpine unit I need to get. One website I looked at said the Alpine set up was compatible with a CR-710 model head unit. My head unit is a CR-728. Does anyone know if these are basically the same? I have seen pics of several
CR-7** head units and they all look the same at least from the front. Do they have the same connection at the back?

Any help appreciated as always.
