As I was replacing the non replaceable trans fluid on a newly acquired 94 965, I noticed that the auxilliary cooling fan wasn't connected. I connected it and found that the AC cooled better. The problem is that it is very lound and I can feel it's vibrations through the steering wheel. Upon inspection I find that the fan is mounted with through the radiator plastic mounts. This doesn't look factory compared with the unit on my 92 244, which has metal brakets to the body. Is this factory and if not what should I replace it with. How do I remove without destroying the mounts. I thought about taking it apart and oiling the bearings. Using this fan disproves the ideas I have read for not using one - no complete removal comments please. I love the exotic aspects of this car and it is definately a different animal.
