Recently bought a 1992 Volvo 240. Car drives great but there is a knocking noise that can be heard on the drivers side front area. Visual inspection of the rubber bushing (without any disassembly) does not seem to show any major wear. Knocking seems to be more pronounced going over small bumps. Motor mounts show some wear but not excessive and there is very little clearance for the tail pipe to the chassis. Tail pipe knocks in reverse. Not sure if these things are related or separarte problems. Thoughts???? Clueless in Texas..........
