Rookie 940 Questions - 900 1992

Hi,

I frequent the 200 section of the BB all the time, my wife and I are seriously looking at purchasing an early 90's 940 Wagon. I have some general questions.

I am very used to the ease of which I can work on my '82 240. Does the 940 have the same "red block" engine. Does it have a B230 or some other variation.

I am looking for a car that is as reliable and easy to work on as my 240, but something that drives a little better, has more power and is more... well, luxurious.

Will i do well with a 940??
