Strange A/C behavior! 700 1990

I have a 1990 740 Turbo with about 385k Kms. (almost 240k miles) I recently had the A/C (manual A/C) converted to R134 by a Volvo dealer. Now when driving with the A/C on if I accelerate hard enough to go into turbo boost the blower quits as if there is no power to it. If quit accelerating the blower returns to normal speed. This happens with or without the A/C on and on any blower speed. This fault could have been there before the conversion but was not noticed. The dealer says that no wiring or changes that could affect the blower were made in the conversion. My suspicion is a faulty sensor, but there are so many.
Has anyone seen or experienced this problem and could offer some suggestions. It would be greatly appreciated.
