I just found out today that my Volvo isn't covered under the extended warranty I purchased. Let me explain the situation. I bought the car in my mothers name in November 2001 in order to take advantage of better rates. Since then we used a personal loan to "payoff" the dealer loan including the extended warranty. When we did that we transfered title of the car to my name but dropped the ball on transferring the warranty. I'm getting ready for a road trip from Chicago to Florida and called to varify my insurance and warranty coverage. Well quess what no warranty coverage, and I missed the deadline to transfer (3months after sale or transfer of title). My question is this should I try to get another policy from someone else? If so from whom? or should I just get my money back and put it back into the car payments? Crazy situation I know, but what do you guys think.
