electric fan conversion on 89 740 turbo 700 1989

I finally got around to the fan conversion on the turbo, already did the 1990 16v,plenty of room on that car, however the turbo was a different story due to the fact that the space is much more limited due to the intercooler, that limits the fan assembly of a thickness of around 3" or less to maintain at least a "1/2 inch of clearance between the fan motor an the waterpump studs;I didn't want to saw off the studs in case I needed to go back to the original setup for one dumb reason or another. The fan is rated at 1600 cfm and draws around 10-12 amps,I used an adjustable controll unit so I could fine tune the temp when the fan cycles on and off,the stock pusher fan is still wired in but in doesn't come on yet,the primary electric fan seem to keep everything under controll.A couple of things you notice is better turbo spool-up and colder a/c operation, and if I could keep my foot out of the boost I suppose possibly better mileage. If any one else has done this conversion on a 740 turbo I would like to swap notes, this info could help others as well.
