88' 740 turbo wagon, any good in the snow? 700

I have only owned this car since the spring, so I haven't driven this car in the snow/ice before. It's an 88' 745 turbo, with auto tranny. It also has ABS. If it snows should I just stay home or how is it in the snow? I have all seasons right now, but of course would get a set of snows for the winter. Any advice on how to drive it? I'm used to driving FWD VW's, so this being auto and RWD is a bit different. Thanks for any advice!
