Rear crankshaft seal thickness 200

I noticed that NewAndUsedVolvoParts lists two rear crank seals for the B21. One is 7mm thick and the other is 10mm. Other than the obvious answer (3mm) what's the difference? Or maybe I should ask are they for different applications? Or is one manufacturer just skimping on materials?
