Camber adjustments after lowering... 900 1993

hello,
i have a 93' 945 with 17" wheels on it (215/40/17). i was thinking about lowering it between 1.25 in. and 1.75 in. ... any thoughts on what is too low and @ what level will i run the risk of my tires hitting my wheel wells?

also, do i have to worry about my camber (so i dont ruin my new tires) after i lower it..and if so..where can i get the adapter to fix it?

Thank you,
Jim
