hi all,
i'm in a situation where i can buy a 244dl volvo very very cheap because the motor blower is not working and is therefore not legally roadworthy. the vehicle is in otherwise excellent condition.. it's done under 150,000 kms... (i think that's around 90,000 miles for the yanks). i have a friend of mine who is a mechanic and can "overlook" the blower motor and provide me with a roadworthy certificate... i'm gonna sleep on it tonight, but before i do i was wondering what people's opinion of how essential the blower motor is? i live in a moderate climate, not too hot, not too cold... i used to ride a motorbike so i'm used to the weather. should i buy it and not worry about repairing the blower motor until i can be bothered to repair it myself??
also, can anyone tell me the difference between a dl and a gl? cheers
