A/C Conversion/Headlight Replacement 87 245 200

The A/C in my 1987 240 lost all freon due to a leaky hose. The estimate to fix this was $ 500 since they want to convert it to the non-freon A/C. Is there a less expensive way to get my A/C back? It's 101 degrees outside.

My headlight lenses are very yellow. Can I replace just the lense and how would that work? Has anybody done this instead of buying the complete assembly? Night vision is just not that great on this car. Wish they had kept the early 80ies dual headlights...always pretty and clear. Thanks for any suggestions.
