Antifreeze question 200

I had a mechanic tell me recently that they have had a rash of engine related problems due to the reddish/orange antifreeze (can't think of the brand name). Has anyone experienced any problems with this? He works on a lot of crown vics and I am not sure how he came to this conclusion, except he said that they are replacing a lot of head gaskets. It said right on the bottle that it wouldn't hurt aluminum.
