oil in intake manifold on 960 900 1992

Cleaned the trottle body and flame trap this morning. I found about an once of clean motor oil in the bottom of the intake manifold. Flame trap and hose was clean and did not appear to be the source of oil. I don't get smoke out the exhaust that I would expect from leaking valve guide seals. I do get significent BLACK smoke on heavy acceleration beginning about 3k extending to shift into second. If I stop and repeat the acceleration a second time there is no smoke. Did compression test all all cylinders are 140 +/- 5lbs. Car burns 1 qt about ever 8k miles.

Would all this be a symptom of valve guide seals on this model?
