Does my 84 ex-diesel 245 require a resistor (additional to the ones for the lower 3 fan speeds) for the blower motor?

I didn't see one anywhere along the red power wire to the blower when I removed the old one. I'd hate to get it all back together and then discover I need to find and replace this resistor.
