I was noticing that my 1991 245SE with 145k burned about 1/4 quart of oil when I have been using it for my vacation. We drove about 1200 miles from WI to Cape Cod, then about 1500 from cape cod to boston a few times, then will be driving back to WI on tuesday, putting on another 1200 miles. I checked the oil about midway during our trip and I was down about quarter quart of oil. I was averaging about 75-80 MPH on the highway and getting 25-28 MPG on the hills and stuff, with a AW71 tranny.
