Mysterious woosh/hiss from dash? 200 1981

Hello everyone,


My 1981 240 Turbo makes a strange sound from behind the dash when you step on the gas. The sound usually occurs when I let the engine build vacuum and the tap the gas quickly. This "woosh" can then be heeard for about a second. The sound almost sounds like that of a turbo blow-off valve. What could this be? A vacuum line broken? A leak in the HVAC vacuum reservoir? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
