I recently posted a message concerning a no start condition for my 83 volvo 245 dl b23f wagon. I was not getting spark to the distributor (no voltage at the coil) and the fuel pump relay was not functioning either. I went and replaced the ignition coil just recently with a used one from the same volvo in the junk yard. It started right up! I drove it for a day with the only noticable problem being a little short stutter once when I was on the highway. The next day I started it up (I had to make notice of how quickly it started, immediately after I turned the key) and it cut out quickly after about 2 seconds. I have not been able to start it again (it cranks normally). I ran a power wire from the battery to the coil and I heard a click and the dash warning lights all came on (as if it were in the on position) with no key in the ignition. Does anyone have any further insight into what this problem could be. Thanks for your help.
