87 745 front bushings?

I am finding the radius arm bushing (multiple piece one) a real pain in the ass to get out of the arm. I have PB 'd the crap out of it yesterday and am going to try slamming it again with a bf hammer. Has anyone had to resort to a machineshop for pressing these out? Ipd catalog says no press is needed but are they dreaming? Thanks for any reply.
