Oil being blown through Turbo Plumbing. Concerns ? Cause ?

I have a 1990 740 Turbo (Mitsubishi TD04H-13C) and the oil consumption has been high since i bought it.
I have had the car a year. I pulled the Turbo hose between the Turbo and the Intecooler it had a layer of fresh oil pooled in the hose - plus some older oil that is caked building up at elbow turns.

I assume that oil seal(s) in the Turbo are bad and blowing oil into the intake ?
(What do you guys think )

What should my concerns be as far as the engine ingesting the oil ?

Can I install a filter between one of the intercooler houses to try to capture some of this oil in the short-term ?
