Footwell Airvents 240-700 interchangable? 700

I have the 740 with the leaking footwell airvents (driverside).
I tried to glue a piece of rubber over it - no success.
I have seen now, that the 240 has a manually operated
open/close airvent. That would be niece if it fits my 740.
Any ideas about compatibility?
