tranny fluid temp gauge question 900

Is it possible to install a tranny fluid temp. gauge on 92-960? I am interested in installing an external tranny oil cooler to bypass the rad and I would like to monitor the fluid temp for a while before the installation and after. Would an engine oil temp gauge work?


92-960, 190 000 km
