Distributor Differences 700 1989

Is there a difference between the B230 and B230ft distributor? I recently installed a reman distributor and now I cannot get my timing to set correctly. It is still about 15 or so degrees too far advanced. I've checked everything else and now I am suspecting I was supplied the wrong distributor. Timing was set fine before with my previous distributor. Could this be the culprit?
