A/C Drain Modification 200 1985

Has anyone tried running clear acrylic tubing from the nipple on the airbox, through the hole in the tranny tunnel and farther down on the body mounting the exit point. I looked at it today (its clear but still seems to retain water at times) and also noticed it is dripping right onto some terminal for either the reverse light or 4 gear switch, which doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Any thoughts? Thanks
