Turbo Cold Start Miss 200

Fellow Boarders,

Need some help trying to isolate whether this is fuel or ignition issue on my 84 245Ti...

When warmed up, could not ask for better performance at all ranges and engine loads.

But at cold start up: Engine will start easily and idle/drive with one dead cylinder for about 1-2 minutes, gradually smoothing out, eventually firing evenly on all four. Usually I will drive it before it eventually evens out... this evening after work I let it idle and it first hit dead on one, then over a minute or so you could hear the dead cylinder coming to life and eventually smoothing out.

I don't know which cylinder it is, havent yet checked by pulling each plug wire to identify dead cylinder. But is definitely isolated to one cylinder based on the "even" not random miss.

So, where should I look first? Ignition (plugs, cap, rotor, wires) or plugged/bad fuel injector? Other ideas? Seems as if it was the K-Jet cold start valve, control pressure regulator, temp sensor or thermal time switch, the miss would be more random instead of isolated to one cylinder.

Like I said, after first two minutes, it runs fine all day or until it cools down again.

Thanks!

Robert
