Amazon swimming fun 120-130

Not a post about a prototype Aquamobile, but almost.

This may be a question which is impossible to answer without seeing the car, but maybe your experience will give me some pointers.

My 122S has a bad leak which lets water fall onto the parcel shelf. After a rainstorm there is a sizeable puddle there, and while driving in a storm the water actually wets the passenger's knees. I thought I had cracked it when I found two holes in the engine bay with an assortment of wites going through them. What seemed to be happening was that water was going through the grill under the windscreen, rolling out into the engine, and then going through the holes (although this was conjecture because I couldn't get it to do this with a hose). So I sealed them up with this stuff called 'dum-dum' but the leak was obviously not gone when we had our next storm a few days later.

I'm determined to plug this leak because I want to put some carpet in (that's a whole new argument).

Thanks for any advice. Cheers.
