Warped head - $280-$350 to fix 700

Hi, Im the owner of a 90 780 turbo with a blown head gasket. I took the head in to have it looked at; They said its warped quite a bit. I guess its warped so much that the cam can't spin like it should. They said $280-$350 to fix it. Does this sound reasonabe? They said its unlikely that the block will be messed up too, but how can I know? I'm begining to think about replacing the whole engine. any opinions or options?
