I have just purchased a 1987 volvo 740 GLE Turbo Wagon. It is a great car to drive but recently I have experienced extremely poor gas mileage. At speeds of approx 110 kilometers per hour travelling about 80 kilometers I am burning up 1/4 tank of gas. I understand that this is a heavy vehicle but feel that I should be getting a little better preformance out of it. Can anyone give me a few hints other then the usual things like tire inflation, cleaning fuel injection system, checking spark plus etc.?????
