Annoying static through the radio 700 1992

Hi all,

I need some guidance. When I turn my radio on I hear this annoying static thruough the speakers. If I step on the brake pedal its seem to stop. But sometimes it fails and continues for a few minutes. Also, if I turn the radio on and put the car in reverse while stepping on the brake pedal, I will hear the static but once I move the shifter to the Drive position it stops. Any ides??
