I am looking for a 1993 244, but I have heard of some problems....... 200 1993

I am a long time 240 owner (22 years) and along with my 1980 242, I own a 1987 245. I have had unbeleivable reliability and service out of both cars and now I am looking for a '93 244 but I have heard of some problems such as faulty air mass meters ( not a cheap part at approx 300.00),and a few others I can't recall. Should I continue with my search, or are there numerous other problems.
I am in the market for a black 93 244 with a 5 speed manual in the cincinnati ohio area, low miles, garaged, etc. Willing to travel 150 miles. Please e-mail me at:jpitroff@cinci.rr.com if anybody out there knows of one.
