Cutting Springs? 700 1990

I am going to cut my springs here pretty soon and am wondering how many coils I should take off, what would be a reasonable amount? Like 2-3 inches I want it lowered. Also, I am going to cut my springs, I don't care about the bounciness or anything, so please don't respond and say that I should just buy ipd springs. I would just like to know how many coils I should take off. Thanks a lot.
