I finally did it today, and traded my 91 944T in on a 99 S80 T6 in excellent shape, 50k miles. Ended up getting it for around $25k. It has been dealer serviced, and a reading of the service history reveals nothing too troubling, and all the TSB items (ball joints, tranny software patch, suspension-to chassis bushings, etc.) appear to be taken care of. I did get the Volvo certification, so I should be covered for any potentially expensive stuff for another 50k miles.
The performance is remarkable (what sold me on the car aside from the really comfy seats!). Hopefully, this will be a decent car. It's awfully fun to drive.
I still have the wife's 95 945T (just redid the cooling system....major kudos to fcpgroton!), so I will still be hanging around here.
Wish me luck, and if you think I'm stupid, please don't flame me too bad (at least I stuck with Volvo, and didn't go MB, BMW, or Acura).
Cheers!
