HAVE AN OLD 1980 240 wgn I use as work/emergency back-up car that I'm saving for my son as first car. Anyway last weekend it ruptured front brake line when I was headed out-it's still parked awaiting FCP GROTON shipment.NEXT my wifes car needs exhaust manifold gasket- so last nite I dismantled and carefully removed all old exhaust studs . THIS sunday morning I put in new studs, etc and when torquing down @ 10 #'s my last stud snaps off-DARN! SEVERAL HOURS WASTED_counting tommorrow after I buy parts @ DEALER-DAMMIT!QUESTION:when tightening /screwing in studs-how do you bricksters proceed? DO you double nut new studs to a specified torque first-then follow up with reassembly? I WAS LUCKY- my stud broke off-leaving enough to unscrew-WHEW! Should I use anti-seize when screwing new studs into block OR USE THREADLOCKING COMPOUND? DID the anti-seize throw off my torque wrench? thanks mark
