Can I throw the chapman alarm in the trash? 700

I want to know if on the alarm I can cut the 2 wires and toss the horn part of this in the trash. Its brackey broke and its sitting on top of my battery. I never evr use it and would be jst as happy trashing it. (Of course I would leave the lock itself and components alone.....just this annoying horn that floats around over bumps under my hood
