Rough idle, loss of power 700 1991

This car has had the batt, rotor cap, plug and coil wires replaced, spark plugs, also fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, air cleaner, and vacuum hoses. All with the over-priced and much vaunted Volvo parts direct from the dealer. When it is cold it runs very rough and backfires and does not want to get under-way without a lot of coaxing. After 5 or so minutes of driving it will smooth out and run like a champ. Compression test and fuel pressure checks O.K. It is better than it was but is still not right. 121000 mi. Anyone have any ideas?
