Problem with heated seats in 740 wagon 700

The drivers seat used to work before the summer. Now that its getting a bit cool in the morning I'd like it to work again. I checked the fuse and its okay, cleaned the heated seat switches and they appear to be okay. Is there a thermostat or something that won't let it turn on if its too warm out?
