The car died at the grocery store with a full load aboard (of course). Checked a few things and realized that it was a wrecked t-belt. Did the belt with an oem belt and the haynes manual. lined up all the marks properly as they all matched the marks on the oem belt. still wouldnt start. checked compression and only got 10psi. It has the 230F engine so of course we thought it was a goner since haynes says it is an interference engine, but we learned thru the good folks here that it is not. Anyway, we cannot get compression or get it to start after replacing the t-belt. Someone (not here) mentioned that just because the marks were lined up doesnt matter because the crank and cam might be "out of sync" somehow. I did the job myself because here in RI there are no user friendly dealers or volvo specialists. We would love to have the car running since we have put a TON of parts into it in the 4 months we have had it. Any suggestions on what to check would be very appreciated. Also, if there is someone close to Providence that knows his/her way around a 240 wagon I would even be willing to pay for help. Be kind tho, I am just a teacher :) Thanks for all the help so far and I hope my first post was not too long winded.
