Weird (very weird) electrical problem. Help! 900 1998

Today my wife came home complaining again about my beloved '98 S90. (I guess our S90 is female too and my wife does not get along with her very well.)

The problem is that both left and right turn signals started to act today. When one of the turn signals is turned on, it starts to blink evenly and produces mild clicking sounds. That's the normal behavior. What is different now is that after a while (could be 30 seconds, could be 1 minute or more) the blinking starts behaving irregularly. It could suddenly skip one bit or two or the clicking sound could be gone for few seconds and then come back. The weirdest thing is that the signal could simly freeze in the on position (both external light is on and the signal on the dashboard is on) and stay on until I mechanically turn it off. I checked all bulbs and they seem to be operational. Also, when a bulb is about to go south, the turn signal is usually starting blinking/flashing very rapidly. This is not the case with my turn signal

Did anybody experience this weird problem with 960/S90? I need to fix it ASAP because it is not safe driving the car when your turn signal is not blinking. What is wrong with my car? Please help me!

Raphael
