Exhaust getting inside car is making me sick. (literally) 200 1984

When i roll up the windows and turn on the a/c in my '84 242, I smell the distinct smell of my own exhaust. This is only really noticable when I am stopped. I just installed a new cat-back exhaust system from IPD, but I noticed the smell before that. It smells stronger when the a/c is on, but it still stinks without being on. I already checked the "fresh air" vent, and nothing changes if its closed or open. Its starting to make me ill. Please help. Thanx in advance. -Logan
