vent in automatic transmission 200 1984

I own a '84 240GLE volvo with a BW55 3-speed automatic transmission. I´ve experienced problems with leaking pan gaskets. I have changed it four times and I still have the leaks. Someone told me this problem could be due to a vent transmission clogged with debris. Is there any vent in a BW55 auto transmission?
