740 brakes 700 1989

Hi,
I just purchased an '89 740 GL Wagon with a 105,000 miles. I've read a whole lot about my brakes (10 1/4" front rotors with Girling calipers) and (no surprise) I'll be needing to purchase a new set of rotors all the way around. Mine are too worn to turn but in my favorite boneyard, I found a later model 740 Turbo with nice (no ridges) vented front rotors. Can I use these rotors with my existing hubs and calipers? I read somewhere that ABS equiped 740's had an adapter for the caliper that will enable my to use my stock Girlings with the later model rotors. Can I do this and, even if I can, is it worth the trouble over just replacing my rotors with the stock items.
Thanks!
