Hey all-I'm having problems and was wondering if anyone might know something I don't. My battery keeps dying. It all started, all of a sudden, on saturday. On the highway. Well, it didn't just up and die; the radio started flashing, then my gas gauge read below empty, so I stopped to fill up. Went to start the car, and nothing. The engine tried to turn over, but it was definitely a drained battery. Got a jump, drove home. Sunday, pulled every electrical connection I could find and cleaned or replaced it. Ran fine after that, but I was careful and didn't turn on the radio and only had the lights on at night. Then today-fine in the morning, so I went to the carwash to vacuum it out. Then it didn't want to start, you could tell, but it did, just barely. So I go home, and put a new, known to be good battery in it. Went out for about an hour's worth of driving, got home, had to go out an hour later, and nothing. Battery was dead. So, do I replace the alternator, the battery (again), the voltage regulator, or what? Oh yeah-another thing-the battery light never came on. But it DOES come on when starting the car, so it works(I think). Anyone have any suggestions?
