My 1985 740 is sticking in OD (5th) after being in gear for about 10 minutes. After pushing the button to down shift it takes abot a minute or two for it to come out of gear. I haven't driven it further in 5th (OD) to see if it's worse for fear it m,ay not come out at all. Is there any thing that can be done through the access opening or otherwise that will fix this?
