I recenlty replaced this in-tank sending unit ( old pump was shot ). However it seems to take longer for the car to start now. I had thought that the pump on this sending unit would begin pumping gas out of tank when key was turned to "on" position, to fill the line. However, the sending unit pump does not begin to pump until car is turing over. Is this the reason for the delay in starting? Should this pump be working when key is in the on position? Thanks in advance for any help!
