Real High Idle when put into park 700

Hi All,

Im trying to problem solving remotely from 700kms away. My wife reports that our 745Ti has suddenly decided to rev real high when put into park or neutral. Tach flies to the right she reports. I recently drove the car and used the cruise which I hadnt touched in a while. Could this be causing the throttle to stick. Any suggestions or advice I could give her on things to check out with a quick cursory exam! Otherwise what could be a possible problem?
