How is everything?
This is the deal. I want to take a 'lil road trip with my '88 245 "blkberry".I have had her 3.5 years now and this what has been repaired or replaced. Kind of long so bear with me.

right side ball joint 8/99.
2new frt.control arm bushings 10/00
2new rear trailing arm bushings 10/00
New frt.rotor and pads 11/00
New oxygen sensor 11/00
New timing belt and tensioner 11/00
new valve cover gasket new fan belts.11/00
2 new motor mounts 11/00
gear shift bushings 5/00
at that time i had 169450 on the speedo.
new AMM.8/01
New rear pads and rotors 10/01.
replaced fuel filter 7/01
replaced fuel sending unit, filter sock and in-tank fuel pump 7/01
Had an accident in 1/02. Not that bad but bad enough. Very much drivable.I have been drivng her since although not that much because i new i needed some suspension work done.
As of today i have decided to keep her because i do not see a new brick in the near future so i went to a trusted indy volvo shop in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
This is what is needed to get blkberry back in shape.
Frt. rear lower control arm bushings are worn.
Right stabilizer link is broken.
4 new support/upper rear trailing arm bushings are worn.
Right side engine mount collasped.
Left side engine mount pedestal is loose.
Replace timing belt and frt. engine seals.
I have 193550 on the speedo as of today.
Should i decide to get these repairs done, i will be buying the parts from FCP groton. They got some nice prices on the parts.
2 new boge turbo gas sruts.
4 support bar bushings in polyurethane.
1stabilizer link.
Timing belt with seals
2 frt.rear lower control arm bushings.
Soooo after all that, Is it worth it keeping to keep her going? Also what things can i do myself? Got tools (Craftman) got 3.5 ton floor jack with stands. I want to try to save money on going into the shop. Thanks for reading this and the advice.
