240 exhaust removal 200 1987

I'm replacing the front pipe of the exhaust on my '87 240 dl wagon. Problem is the bolts connecting it to cat converter pipe are about impossible to get off. any suggestions? Can you hacksaw between the 2 pieces throuh the gasket? Also any idea of the sizes of the bolts for both ends? I bought the new fr. pipe and they didn't come with. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
thanks, John
